Food Preparation Helps with Portion Control

If you have been following my blog you may know that for some time I have been trying to lose weight and become healthier.  To date, I have lose a few pounds but still really struggle with my eating.  People keep suggesting that I plan my meals in advance in order to choose the right foods and eat the right portions.

This is something that I keep saying I’m going to do but I simply do not.  I guess the main reason I haven’t done this is because I can never decide on a meal to make ahead of time.  This problem was recently resolved for me because a friend of mine told me about eMeals.

eMeals is a low cost meal plan subscription that create a simplified weekly meal planner that is customized to fit your lifestyle and budget.

How it Works:

1. You Choose a Plan: Choose a plan based on your eating style for example Classic Meals, Low Fat or Paleo just to name a few.  The plan also considers your family size, and favorite grocery store.

2. Get weekly meal plan: Your meal plan is delivered right to your email and recipes and grocery list with cost.

Once you received your weekly meal plan now it’s time to grocery shop. My suggestion is that you once you bring everything home from the grocery store that you prepare your meals for the week. This really helps me out especially on days when I’ve been busy and havent had time to prepare my meal let alone think of what to eat.  On days like that I typically would end up grabbing something fast, which is never anything healthy.


I choose the portion control meal plan because I really need help trying to build a balanced meal.  I really love that not only are the recipes different and delicious they also include the grocery list.  Making everything much easier.

Definitely agree than planning in advance can make things not only easier, but healthier. Impulse buys and last minute meals usually aren't the most nutritious. Good for you getting going with meal planning!
