Premama Prenatal Vitamin Supplement Mix

It is very important for women to take daily vitamins when the are trying to conceive, already pregnant and post pregnancy.  A lot of women including myself dread taking pills especially big ones because they can be hard to swallow.  If you ever taken a vitamin you know they are huge.

I am not pregnant now, however I want to make sure my body is prepared with the vitamins and nutrients I need, if I were to become pregnant.  When choosing a vitamin I am always concerned with size and whether or not it will make my belly feel queasy.  I recently had the opportunity to try a relatively new vitamin called Premama that tackles both of my concerns.

Premama Prenantal Vitamin is all natural and contains all the nutrients typically found in other prenatal vitamins such as Folic Acid, DHA Omega-3, and B Vitamins.  It also includes other helpful ingredients, such as Ginger Root when helps reduce nausea.  Two main selling features of this product is that it is in a powdered form so no big pills and it also says it is flavorless.

After trying Premama for the past week, I can honestly say I like it.  The packaging makes taking it so easy and easy to take with you.  The stick packet is divided in two doses, giving you the option to take the whole pack at once, or take half in morning and half later in day.  All you have to do is pour powdered supplement in 12oz (if taking full dose) of liquid.

I first mixed it in water and it was very easy to digest it wasn’t chalky or gritty.  I have very sensitive senses and when mixe with water I thought it tasted and smelled slightly fishy however not intolerable.  Premama can be mixed in your favorite beverage including milk.  So, the next day I mixed it with orange juice and I can honestly say it was flavorless I couldn’t even tell it was in there.  You can also sprinkle it in your oatmeal or over your cereal.  How awesome is that!

If you are looking for a new Prenatal Vitamin or just want to try this out. Premama is giving away a month supply to one lucky reader of Mushy Mamma.

I have a hard time with huge prenatal vitamins, currently taking one that has the vitamin and the dha in separate pills.

I had told myself a while ago that even after this baby comes, I am going to continue to take pre-natals because they do provide great nutrients!!

I am taking pre-natal vitamins now and you're right they are horse pills!!! I had my daughter in July and I'm still taking them because I am nursing. These sound like a wonderful alternative!
