Creative Bioscience: Green Coffee Bean Pure Extract (Week One)

OK, so a couple weeks ago I told you about a 90 challenge I was going to take with Creative Bioscience.  I decided to start using the Green Coffee Bean Pure Extract, I chose this product because it said it was designed to help you lose up to 1 pound a day with you having to change your diet or do additional exercise.

The product arrived and I began using it on, December 17, 2012.  The directions said to take one 800mg capsule (twice a day) with a full glass of water 30 minutes before meal.  I followed directions to the “T” and weighed in on December 23, 2012.   To my disappointment, I had not loss any weight.  This was very discouraging however when I read everything on the website again, I realized I hadn’t read carefully enough.  I saw that some people reported  having good results when using product alone others reported only worked when they used this product in addition to another weight loss aid.  It also said to use this product with your current healthy eating and activity which I can’t say my eating is at all healthy.  Also as with any diet or weight loss program it stated the more water you drink the better your results.

The only side effect I had from the Green Coffee Bean Pure Extract was that I got a headache after taking it. I think this may be because my water intake wasn’t as high I it should have been.

For week two I plan to change some things up, this is going to be challenging with it being the holidays.  After having no results in week one, I decided maybe I need to evaluate my caloric intake.  I discovered I consumed well over the daily amount I should be.  So I think in order for me to see better results I need to reduce the amount of calories I take in.  I plan to reduce my calories to 1500 calories a day.  Also I plan to exercise more to burn some additional calories.

I also know that I don’t drink enough water so I plan to make sure I drink at least 10 glasses of water a day.

Thank You for checking in on me, I’ll report back next Monday.

Just curious, but if you reduce your caloric content to 1500 per day then why bother with the coffee extract? If you change your diet you wont know if the extract had any effect. I'm all for changing if it for a healthier future but it doesnt give the extract a fair review. Just my thoughts Merry christmas Julia

Hi Julia, Thanks for your comment I guess you have a point, I really didn't think of it that way. After re-reading the product and it stated a healthy diet, it made me look at my calories and they are super high (around 4000), so I just wanted to give my self a fighting chance. I really want to lose weight and be healthy. Maybe 1500 is too low for a fair review. According to a caloric calculator, it says my caloric needs to stay at current weight is Your current calorie needs are 2444 per day. The number of calories consumed should be broken down as follows: Carbohydrates: 1100 - 1589 carb calories, or 45-65% of daily intake Protein: 244 - 855 protein calories, or 10-35% of daily intake Fat: 489 - 855 fat calories, or 20-35% of daily intake Breakdown is based on standard USDA guidelines Maybe I will just reduce to that to see if product really works. Either way I hope I lose weight.
