“Giving Tuesday” with CARE

“Giving Tuesday”, November 27, 2012  is the first national day of giving with over 500 partners creating and sharing their plans for giving this season.  CARE is among this group of organizers and it comes at a perfect time, because CARE has been about giving for many years in fact today they celebrate their 67th Birthday.

CARE is a humanitarian organization headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia,  fighting global poverty. CARE places special focus on working alongside poor girls and women because, equipped with the proper resources, they have the power to lift whole families and entire communities out of poverty.

CARE wants to encourage more people to give by engaging them in their mission.  In celebration of “Giving Tuesday” CARE is hosting a fundraising contest, the person who helps raise the most money by days end November 27, 2012 will win a trip to see CARE’s work in action in one of the 84 countries where they are presently working.

We all know the saying… it’s better to give than receive, and it is so true.  So I challenge everyone to donate today in celebration of this national day of giving and the holiday season.   Anything you can give will help to benefit many.

So please open your heart and show your giving spirit.
