Disney on Ice 2012: Review of Rockin’ Ever After

Disney on Ice’s new show Rockin’ Ever After is in town showing at Atlanta’s Philips Arena and boy was it Rockin’.  The music was so upbeat and energetic.  From the start of the show children were bouncing and bopping along as they hummed out loud with excitement.   Everywhere you turned their were little princesses donning the costumes of their favorite characters.  Mickey and Minnie along with Donald Duck and Goofy opened the show and entertained the children between the scenes of the different fairy tales.  Some of the princesses you can expect to see are Ariel, Rapunzel, and Merida.

My son is 3 and isn’t familiar with all the different princesses and fairy tales but he sure does know Merida from the Disney Pixar blockbuster, BRAVE.  He has only seen  previews but says this is his favorite movie.   I suspect this is because of he is fascinated with her forest adventures as well as her bow and arrow.

The show overall was amazing, my husband even enjoyed the show although I had to convince him to come along.  I personally was impressed by how wonderfully the scenes were designed with so many details and how amazing the talent was.  They did way more on sharp blades then I’d ever consider.

Disney on Ice’s show Rockin’ Ever After will be in town until Sunday October 14, 2012
