Hey everyone! Just checking in to let you know where things stand with me this week. Well I must say I feel like I did great, So I have been strutting around feeling brand new, I may have even given myself a Hi-Five!
This week I really stepped up my game as far as my diet goes, I have been eating less and making wiser choices. So this week I really focused on drinking only water, if I did drink something other than water it was only a small glass of juice once a day. I also only had cheese twice, instead of everyday with every meal and I wasn’t crazy with my portion. Also I have been snacking less and eating more fruits and vegetables which has been great for the entire family because my 3 year old has even been willing to try new vegetables which is awesome.
Besides eating better I decided to take it to the streets and stepped out with my dad who is also trying to get fit and healthy. Twice this week, we walked briskly for 2 miles through his neighborhood which included some slight inclines. This is something we plan to do together about 3 or 4 times a week, this is a easy way for us to build our cardio endurance plus it gives us a chance to bond. We will also be adding more exercise to our regimen later down the line.
On my own I decided to incorporate one of the classic exercises, jumping rope. This exercise is cheap, portable (so you can do it anywhere), and burns more calories than you think. Jumping rope is a great way to get your heart rate up and it’s fun for the whole family. If it’s been a long time since you’ve picked up a jump robe, this introduction to jump rope program is a great way to get started.
Whew, let me tell you how this mamma here has showed out. Feeling so confident I decided to commit myself to a 90 day weight loss challenge. This is a friendly competition between myself and my good friend Yolanda to help motivate us. On September 21, 2012 we will do a final weigh in and whomever has lost the highest percent of their body weight will win. What will we win you ask…well of course a $100 shopping spree, to get a outfit for our new sexier body.
