Sweet Sensations

Let’s just say I was a little more than giddy when I found out that CamiCakes Cupcakes was opening their second Atlanta gourmet cupcake boutique in the Historic Vinings area, which is  not too far from my house.  I really wanted to make it to their grand opening, however I was out of town and missed it.  So my sister, Kimberly and I made a special trip.

When you first enter CamiCakes, you are greeted by the warm friendly staff who seemed to enjoy delighting customers with the delicious treats.  As I approached the counter I was faced with a vast array of choices which were decadently displayed behind the glass like  fine jewelry.

There were so many cupcakes to choose from such as: Pineapple Toasted Coconut, Sweet Potato, Chocolate Raspberry Almond Cream and Banana Cream just to name a few.  I chose the Banana Cream and my sister who lets just say is a bit greedier (**wink**) chose to try a couple different ones.

Besides the cupcake being beautifully decorated, the cupcake was delicious.  It was moist and topped with a tall layer of frosting which was perfect because it was sweet, but not over the top sweet.  Don’t just take my word for it though, try it yourself.  You can also check out what my sister had to say about her visit to CamiCakes.

We devoured our cupcakes so fast it’s a wonder my sister got to capture these wonderful photos.  I guess it’s safe to say we really enjoyed our visit.
