WHOA MAMMA!

INITIAL WEIGHT LOSS WEIGH IN

As you all know from my previous post I am trying to lose some serious weight.  Above is a picture of my initial weigh in, 209 lbs. WHOA MAMMA! You would think after I weighed in on Sunday afternoon that I would immediately make some changes in my diet, however not me.  Since I knew I was starting a new weight loss challenge, I decided to give myself a wonderful treat kind as if I was on death row and this was going to be my “last meal”

So this is what I had…. a nice juicy Delmonico steak smothered in American Cheese and grilled onions, with a baked potato drowned in butter and sour cream, 2 flacky biscuits and to wash it down a tall glass of Pepsi.  Oh wait don’t forget that I told you I am very greedy so you know I immediately followed it up with dessert which was 4 freshly baked hot outta the oven Phillsbury Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies.  Oh I was stuffed and in heaven.  Later when reality struck and my belly was killing me, I sat down to write my goals for this upcoming challenge.

Josie creator of the blog Yum Yucky says you need to put your goals down on paper and stay committed.  So here are a few of my main goals

1. Over the course of this challenge to get healthier and more fit

2. Loss 50-60lbs. over the next 6-9 months (although I wish this would have in this 3 month challenge I gotta stay realistic)

3. Significantly change my diet, I plan to eat more veggies and cut back on the super fatty meats.  I could eat red meat everyday but I plan to only eat it  two or three times a month. I plan to have at least 2 days a week with no meat at all, as well as cut back on my sugar intake.

4. WORKOUT….I gotta get it moving, I plan to walk/jog 2-3 miles 3 times a week, as well as do cardio/strength training 3 times a week.

So there you have it, those are my main objectives, I will post about each of these areas over the course of this challenge.  One of the main reasons I decided to join this challege is because I want to finally do something about my weight and what better way than to put myself on front street.  So please please help me…. help me stay committed with any advise or tips and do keep me accountable.

Until my body gets used to being fit I have been exercising everyday instead of resting. I had already started eating healthier, so the movement is really going to get me where I have wanted to be for years.
