With school being out, your kids may be starting to get bored at home, but summer time = great family time. What better time to get out and explore the city that you live in, and what it has to offer?  I know you are thinking… going places with the entire family can get rather costly, but I have news for you. If you are looking for ideas of fun things to do with your children that are inexpensive or better yet $FREE.99.  Well you are in luck. Sue Rodman of “Field Trips with Sue” has recently released her new book, 100+Free and Cheap Things to do in Atlanta with Kids”.   Sue has compiled a list of great things to do, each entry includes the Who, What, Where and How…the how much that is.  You’d be surprised of the wide array of inexpensive things to do, that are practically in your backyard.  After reading through this book, I plan to start from beginning to end and introduce my son to things I would have never even thought of.

If you live in the Atlanta area or just coming for a visit, I highly recommend this book.

The book is divided into sections, so it’s easy to narrow down a specific activity. For example, if you are looking for a little fun in the sun…you can easily flip to the section labeled “Parks and Outdoors.” Here you will find out what pools have free swimming days/hours, which parks have special programs, or activities for your children to participate in that are affordable.

Another great thing I learned from Sue’s book is that your library card can be your ticket to a whole new world and not in just the traditional way.  Did  you know your library card can give you access to even more.  Read the book to find out how.

Sue made sure that with  all the wonderful ideas of free and inexpensive things to do that she made her resource book affordable as well.

The book is available at in e-book format for the iPad, iPhone, Kindle and Nook for $4.99 and $9.99 for the printed version.

After taking  advantage of  just one of these great deals for a family outing you will have more than paid for this book.  You will not only save money but you will create lasting family memories.
